Teaching

I teach enormous intro micro classes at Virginia Tech.  After being a bit intimidated by my 300+ student classes at first, I quickly realized that I really like teaching the big classes.  I have also learned how to incorporate all the new technology that is out there into my lectures.

I currently am using Aplia with the McEachern ECON text, and I have been using the iClicker for the last three semesters.

During grad school at the University of Virginia, I taught several sections of Principles of Micro as well as Principles of Macro.  I also served as a teaching assistant for a wide variety of other courses including industrial organization, game theory, statistics, and intermediate micro.

My teaching interests include all levels of micro theory, game theory, industrial organization, international trade, and introductory macro.  Teaching brings me much joy and I feel that I am good at it.  Here is a summary of the evaluations from the courses I taught at Virginia Tech and UVA.
